Ibanez Jem 7VWH (2004)

Every thing on this is stock and untouched. Always tuned to standard tuning and strung with 09-42's. I have the neck almost straight, but there is a slight bow in the neck, almost un-noticeable, but its there so there is no string buzz on frets 3-7. The action is set up at 1.5mm (measured at the 12th fret) and the pickups are 2mm away from the strings.

Ibanez RG2550 (2005)

The "Drop-C" guitar. Almost stock with the exception of the Dimarzio Breed pickup set in it. Strung with 10-47 gauge strings. This guitar is set up identical as the main Jem 7V (neck bow, string/pickup height). This guitar is my main drop tuned guitar.

Ibanez RG550 (year unknown)

A backup "Drop-C" guitar. This was put together from parts bought on on-line auctions. It has a Dimarzio Evo2 in the bridge, and a Fred in the neck. It also has an origianl Ibanez Edge Trem on it. This guitar is strung also with 10-47's strings, and is set up a bit different than the others. The neck bow is about the same as the other main guitars, but i was able to get the action down to 1.2mm on this guitar without any buzzing....i dont know how...

Carvin Legacy Half stack (2001)

Unmodded, other than upgraded tubes and speakers. I have both V30s and Greenbacks (in an X-pattern) in the 4x12 cab. For My tube layout, visit my "all about tubes" page. My preferd amp settings are....

  • Bass-6
  • Mids-4
  • Treb-7
  • Pres-7
  • Gain-8
  • Volume-6 (or 7)

Keely Modded BOSS DS-1 Ultra

My main pedal for boosting my existing lead channel on the amp. I set both the Tone and Level knobs at 12 o'clock, the Distortion knob to (0) zero and the Ultra switch on down (on). The ultra switch makes it more of an overdrive pedal, rather than a distortion pedal. It sounds fatter, and the volume of the unit is boosted BIG TIME. Perfect for driving your amp into "solo mode".

Dunlop Crybaby 535Q Wah

The swiss amry knife of wahs......what more else to say? I like to have the Q control so its set VERY vocal and a sharp wah sound. The big silver knob is usually set to the brightest setting. I dont use the boost switch at all.....

Digitech Whammy Pedal

I mostly use this in Whammy mode for octave up, or in Harmony mode (octave up/down). I cant find any other usable tones from it..........for now........
